It's been a long two years, now hasn't it been?
I've been using livejournal since May 2006.
Now it's July 2008.
I've probably created about 6-7 different accounts since then.
I've lost about 3-4 of them :(
I wish I could find them.
I need to know when I started listening the The Academy Is...
I'm not sure how long "Almost Here" was out when I first
OKAY. Here. I am going to make a timeline.
Almost Here = Feb. 8, 2005
(at that time i was still ~in love~ with yellowcard. and there's no way i probably heard of TAI, esp. since i was still in like, what 5th grade and i was like, what 10 yrs. old)
From Under the Cork Tree was = May 3, 2005
(same thing that i said about "almost here" goes for this one as well)
A Fever Can't Sweat Out = September 27, 2005
(i know for sure that i didn't really know about p!atd until december. by december i was already aware of FOB and most likely TAI)
"Sugar, We're Goin Down" single = September 5, 2005 and "Dance, Dance" was released April 17, 2006.
I made my first LJ on May 28, 06. And I went to my first (and probably last ever) Panic concert on June 11, 2006.
Hmm. Okay, so I found out about FOB through "Sugar", and I remember one late night I stayed up to watch the making of the video for "Dance, Dance."
I most likely bought FUtCT around October to early December.
I remember that I really was into FUtCT especially 'Sophomore Slump or Comeback of the Year'.
William Beckett appeared on that song.
That made me want to buy TAI's album.
When I bought FUtCT, "Sugar" was already well-played. So I probably bought the album around October.
It probably took me a month to fully get into FOB, so I probably bought "Almost Here" in November.
Plus, I remember it was around mid-late November when I bought "Almost Here".
Hmm. Case solved (?)
I know for sure that I like Panic. close to the end of '05. And I like TAI before Panic.
I'll remember how I went to Sam Goody (which is now closed), and I saw "Almost Here". It got a so-so review. But I still loved the album.
It makes me sad because I was so young and and I never watched TAI back then.
I missed out on Truckstops & Statelines, Warped '06, Honda Civic '07, & SWG.
Now TAI is relatively big.
(Oh, this journal is TAI themed and I made in '06).
Anyway, with the release of Fast Times... TAI is probably going to get even bigger and then I'll never get the chance to see them play again.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for them.
It's bittersweet to see a band that you've loved grow.
Oh TAI. I'm also sad that I didn't follow up on all their news during '07. The year that they probably changed the most. I missed a lot.
That teaches me to really follow up a band when I have the feeling they're going to explode.
I think that somehow I knew TAI was going to really get big.
Now they are.
It's good for them though, I'm happy :)
Just as long as they're music stays genuinely pure and wonderful.
